Miss Mauritius UK Competition

The first Miss Mauritius in UK was organised in 1979 and the winner was Lovenah Arunasalon. Since then, several competitions have been organised––though not at regular frequency. We now give the UK Mauritian community and friends of Mauritius rendez-vous on February 5, 2011 at the Wandsworth Civic Suite for the next election of a Miss Mauritius in the UK. Criteria for finals
The finals will be held on 5 February 2011. Election of Miss Mauritius GB, assessed by
a panel of judges, will be determined on Appearance and Bearing, Dress and Elegance. Finalists will be expected to answer, in English, a few questions of general interest from the panel of judges.
Bikini Parade will not be included.
Applications received after the closing date will not be opened and will not be entertained. Postmarks, as far as possible, may be identified as proof of posting.
To avoid any confusion with the former events held in the UK, Mauritius News is using the title of “Miss Mauritius GB” for the competition to be held in 2011. It will be a renewal with the past.
A Management Committee has been set up to stage this event.
