She is of Mauritian origin with mum from Mare-La-Chaux and dad from Lalmatie.  Pritee currently works as a fulltime Sales Manager and a Part time Diva.  Her father came to England in 1965 and married his wife a few years later. He brought her to the UK to start a life full of friends and family.
Pritee appeared on ITV’s Saturday show, Britains Got More Talent, on saturday 7th May, where she impressed all three judges, David Hasslehoff, Amanda Holden and finally Michael McIntyre.
“You’re so jolly and funny,” said Amanda, whilst Michael was funked out by BMF’s singing and told  the star that she must have had Funky Flakes for breakfast! She received three yes’s and is now in the next round.
In an interview after the audition, Pritee said she felt so confident that she could make it to the final as the audience loved her.

Background
MN met up with Big Mama Funk and this is what she told us about her history:
“My dad was a devout lover of his culture and background and one thing that attracted him to get married to my mum was the fact she came with a well educated mind and is a fully ordained Hindu priestess.
I spent many years attending many family functions and prayers with my mother - watching her perform was inspirational really - I believe I got my gift from her and the way she can command an audience.
My dad had a strong sense of family spirit and community and would always be the first to be celebrating an occasion - birthday, wedding anniversary, life....and at these occasions as a family we’d love to entertain - make people comfortable, happy and just be able to enjoy!....
That’s where I gained my sense of spirit and love of performing I guess...and the rest as they say is history.”
To find out if BigMamaFunk makes it to the next round, watch ITV’s Saturday show, Britains Got Talent and Britain’s Got More Talent on ITV 2.
