Soobhiraj Bungsraz has been appointed Chief Executive Officer of Air Mauritius following the resignation of Manoj Ujoodha. The new CEO has had a long professional career with the Australian government in the field of aviation where he held several managerial positions.

He is holder of a Bachelor of Engineering from the University of Punjab, and from the University of Newcastle in Australia he obtained a Graduate Diploma in Management, a Master in Administration, and a Master in Information Technology.  Mr Bungsraz further qualified as a Chartered Professional Engineer, and is a member of several professional bodies including the Royal Aeronautical Society, the Australian Institute of Management and Engineers, Australia.

Chairman of the Board of Directors of Air Mauritius, Kamal Taposeea, welcomed the new CEO with his vast experience in civil aviation and wished him well in his career with the national airline.
